Students learn from Hispanic Leaders at HISPA event in Princeton

Again this year, AT&T supported the Hispanics Inspiring Students’ Performance and Achievement (HISPA) Youth Conference in Princeton, NJ. HISPA is a national organization that works to “mobilize Hispanic professionals to serve as active role models in schools and educational programs in their communities.”

The annual conference seeks to:

  • Emphasize the importance of high school to future success;
  • Excite students about college life; and
  • Engage students’ exploration of STEM fields and careers.

Senate Commerce Committee Chair Nellie Pou spoke to students about careers and achieving dreams. You can see her presentation here.

“The HISPA Conference gives young people in New Jersey a chance to hear from business, civic and government leaders about the steps and experiences that are part of the recipe for success,” said Charlene Brown, assistant vice president for AT&T External Affairs in New Jersey. “Our hope is that the students left the conference inspired and energized for the next steps on their educational journeys.”
