We are closing out the year just the way we started it: connecting people to opportunity. From connecting our customers to their world, to connecting students to academic and career training, at its core, this is what all of us at AT&T do every day. I am so proud of what we have accomplished this year in Delaware, and as I look forward to 2018, I am excited for what is to come. But before we get to January, I want to wish all of you, your family and your friends a happy holiday season and a happy New Year!

AT&T Helps Delaware Students Make the Connection Between Classroom and Career
Students from A.I. DuPont and McKean High School in November visited an AT&T retail location in Dover to help make the connection between the classroom and careers. The visit was arranged through Jobs for Delaware Graduates (JDG), the local affiliate of a national organization that works to enable students to achieve academic, career, personal and social success. The event was part of AT&T Aspire, AT&T’s initiative focused on preparing students for success in high school, on the job, and in life.
The 18 students who participated learned more about the kinds of skills and experience AT&T looks for in new employees. The students sharpened their interviewing and communications skills and learned more about the importance of their “digital footprint” and how it can impact their future. The event was led by Dawn Manuel and Kevin Navarro, AT&T employees in Delaware.
“At AT&T, we collaborate with nonprofit education groups in Delaware and across the country to connect students to mentors, provide opportunities to learn life skills and about diverse career paths, and ultimately understand how what students learn today connects to their success tomorrow,” said Manuel. “We’re excited to work with JDG to help prepare these young people success in their future pursuits.”
