The Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) called upon FirstNet to assist in their response to the Ellicott City flooding.
A FirstNet Satellite Cell on Light Truck, also known as a SatCOLT, was deployed to the area by AT&T at MEMA’s request and has been helping to support the Ellicott City Flood Command Center since Tuesday morning. This gives them the connectivity they need to communicate and coordinate their emergency response efforts around the flooding.
We also brought in two charging stations to the Ellicott City Flood Command Center to further support first responders, helping their phones last as long as they do. #ECSTRONG
