As part of our Thank Our Heroes campaign, AT&T is teaming up with NPower New Jersey. We’re recognizing military veterans from North Jersey and supporting NPower’s efforts in serving military veterans and young adults in underserved communities with a $30,000 contribution to NPower New Jersey.
The contribution was announced during a special event on Nov. 9 at NPower’s facility in Jersey City. New Jersey Assemblywoman Angela McKnight and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop participated in the event.
NPower New Jersey is a workforce development organization that provides free IT-training, certification and job placement assistance to underserved young adults and military veterans. These training programs focus on technology education and professional skills development to prepare students to begin careers in the field of information technology in as little as 22 weeks. More than 80% of NPower graduates are employed full time or enrolled in higher education within 1 year of completing the program. New Jersey students have an opportunity to earn IT Generalist Apprenticeship credentials from the U.S. Department of Labor.
