4G LTE Expansion Will Give Customers Better Access to Mobile Internet
AT&T* has added a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network in Huntington to give customers faster, more reliable wireless service.
Our investment will help customers south of Huntington along the I-64 corridor near 16th Street get the most out of their mobile devices. With 4G LTE service, customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.
"AT&T has been a reliable and consistent partner to the citizens of Huntington. We are pleased that they continue to invest in their operations to assure that their customers in Huntington and the neighboring area will continue to have access to world class service,” said Huntington Mayor Steve Williams.
“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network — which is the nation’s best data network,”1 said Andy Feeney, Regional Vice President for AT&T External Affairs in West Virginia. “We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”
We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected. This helps West Virginians get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.
We invested nearly $200 million in our West Virginia wireless and wired networks during 2014-2016. These investments drive a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses. They also improve critical services that support public safety and first responders.
