4G LTE Expansion Will Give Customers Better Access to Mobile Internet
AT&T added a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network in Indiana County, giving customers around Seward and Cramer, including those around SR-403 and SR-56, faster, more reliable wireless service.
Our investment will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices. With 4G LTE service, customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.
“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network— which is the nation’s best data network,” said J. Michael Schweder, President, AT&T-Mid Atlantic. “We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”
We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected. This helps Pennsylvanians get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play, Schweder added.
By building out our 4G LTE network, we are laying the foundation for our 5G Evolution, the next advance in network technologies. We are increasing network speeds and capacity, as we continue to expand the availability and capacity of our network using the latest technology.
At AT&T, we invested more than $800 million in our Pennsylvania wireless and wired networks from 2014-2016. These investments drive a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses. They also improve critical services that support public safety and first responders.
