AT&T brings faster network to Charlottesville area customers

AT&T* added a new cell tower to its 4G LTE network outside of Keene to give customers faster, more reliable wireless service.

Our investment will help customers in Virginia’s wine country get the most out of their mobile devices. With 4G LTE service, customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.

“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network — which is the nation’s best data network **,” said Vince Apruzzese, regional vice president for AT&T External Affairs in Virginia. “We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”

We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected. This helps Commonwealth residents get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.

We are increasing network speeds and capacity, as we continue to expand the availability and capacity of our network using the latest technology.

We invested more than $625 million in our Virginia wireless and wired networks during 2014-2016. These investments drive a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses.
